iPad Air 2 WiFi Issues
I'm having WiFi connectivity issues on my new iPad Air 2 (WiFi only). I'm having to turn WiFi off and on to reset my connection. Restarting and restoring hasn't fixed the issue.

So this blog ha been going for two years and still no fix.
come on Apple step up to this issue. It's a real pain.
Agree. This is not a service issue, this is a bug in the code that needs to be fixed. I don't want a workaround I want a product that works as it should. A hard fix.

Exact problem here, have air 2 and asus RT-N14U with latest factory firmware and connection is really bad, it disconnects and internet speed is terribly slow. Other Apple devices as well as other devices don't have such issue.
Same problem brand new iPad Air 4 , took ages to setup because of crap wifi.
called support who did ding and said they could see some process related to wifi keeps hanging , they got me to reinstall but still the problem is here,
none of the other devices have this problem , doesn't matter where I am
this thing is a peice of **** that should never have been sold

It has already 3 months since I have contacted apple support. However, they are not helping at all.

Turn off your router for 30 seconds then when its back on
Go to settings on iPad reset your network settings after reset enter your router wireless key
What speed to you get if your router is over 18 months old contact your network provider .
Can you get Fiber broadband ?

I have fiber broadband at home. Ipad air 2 can connect to 5Ghz frequency but cannot connect to 2.4ghz one. Also, it is not working on mobile hotspot.
I think there is something wrong on Ipad air 2 that can't simply connect to the low speed network. This is something wrong on ipad because other devices can connect normally.

Over a year later, I have exactly the same problem - iPad Air 1 failing to connect to a Netgear Nighthawk R8000 on 5GHz despite being ok on 2GHz. An iPhone 6 connects ok on the 5GHz channel. Turned off "Smart Connect" and now both devices connect fine. R8000 is running the latest firmware.
Same issue here. iPad Air2 wifi shuts off by itself. Using Time capsule.
It's started with an iOS 10.0.2 update.
