iPad Air 2 WiFi Issues

I'm having WiFi connectivity issues on my new iPad Air 2 (WiFi only). I'm having to turn WiFi off and on to reset my connection. Restarting and restoring hasn't fixed the issue.

For the start I have to say that I was not one of those "STRICTLY ONLY IOS" or "STRICTLY & ONLY ANDROID" people. I owed iphone 4 for few years and then I swaped to Galaxy s4. Few weeks ago I bought Ipad Air 2 and since that moment I have only had problems with it. Wifi is disaster. It brings back the old wounds I had with iphone when calls had been constantly dropping. Thats it for me. Apple just lost one future customer. I am done. I ll stick with Android. After years of using both platforms I can say that Android have never let me down! ! !

Hello All,

After upgrading my iPad 4 to the latest iOS version 8.3, I was seeing wifi issues. Tried pretty much all the troubleshooting steps that I came across here in the forum and also online but nothing helped. However few days back I disabled Bluetooth & restarted my iPad after that. To my surprise the wifi issues that I have been seeing disappeared :-).

If you are still seeing wifi issues, try this option & see if that works.

Same issue here but always, I've tried everything, and my Ipad Air 2 64GB also drops from Internet connection even when i start using it, I've tried to reset the ipad via my Mac and did a software update and restart as new and even i can´t connect to an wifi to start configuring it...

So it seems a hardware problem from the Ipad's Air 2, I'm sending mine to warranty...

It seems only a new unit will resolve the problem.

So... After initial problems with wifi on my iPad Air 2 about 5 months ago and the miraculous fix the problem returned. It worked fine for 5 months and now it's been dead for a couple of days. I'll wait and see how it goes. If the problem won't go away, I'll try to exchange the device. Hopefully it won't be necessary.

As I wrote earlier:

"Funny thing. I lost a wifi connection on my new iPad air 2 after less than a month of usage. I was so disappointed! None of the above solutions helped, although I wasn't able to reset a router or change its settings, as I use my university's connection. I was just about to exchange my iPad with the warranty, but after a few days I went to visit my brother in a different city and... Surprise, surprise! My iPad's wifi started working again! I figured it was due to different settings in my brother's router. BUT after I came back home it was still working and I've had no problems since (i.e. two weeks now). Funny, isn't it?"

So It worked fine for about 5 months and now it's dead again. I'll try the same thing again and just start to use a different connection somewhere else.

Just wondering, has anyone found a fix for this?

A year later and my connection intermittently tends to lose itself. As everyone else has said, all other devices will work fine on the same network (I'm using an app on four different devices simultaneously).

Is less of a problem for internet browsing since I can just refresh and the signal loss is intermittent, more of an issue with games with high server based talk.

Have there been any helpful responses to the wifi connectivity issue. Apple is NOT very helpful when you have issues, and I get ticked off when you pay the big bucks for these items and then they don't work properly and the 'support' team doesn't support you.

PLease let me know if you have found a solution to the connectivity issue. Oh and by the way, I am NOT connected as I write this request for help.

This is a very old thread. Clearly, most people have either resolved the issue or gotten rid of their iPad. Also, clearly, most people are not having problems.

I've never found Apple Support to be anything but extremely helpful. If the person couldn't figure out my problem, they have always moved me up the food chain to a senior tech and they did solve it. I Would suggest you try Apple Support again.
