My new iPad Air 2 was delivered yesterday, and it is almost perfect- except for the slight curvature of the device. Lengthwise, the iPad is not flat, but it curves in a concave manner- more so on the right side than the left side. Looking at it from the top, it isn't noticeable, but from a profile view, it is obvious. It is hard to take a picture of, but I've never seen this right out of the box on any other iOS device.
Is this normal?
WE have 2 new iPad Air 2 and both exhibit screen curve.
Both have only been used in house and not dropped or stored badly.
so as this appears either normal construction or manufacturing defects from new
Our only concern is if it is a defect, that the glass warping won't crack screen at later date.

My Air 2 is slightly curved also. It is most noticeable when you turn the screen on and place it screen side down on a flat surface. It is not very much but it is definitely there. I tested my wife's Air 1 and noticed the same thing, so I'm thinking it's part of the manufacturing design. Others maybe can confirm.
I have just got iPad Air 2 Today but if I find any problems at all it will go back for replacement You need to be 100% happy iPads cost a lot of money. B sydd
hi, I'm french and also noticed that.. It' very disapointing... Went to Paris's Apple store and looked at the demo units and noticed that mostly on silver ones.. Black are perfectly flat...
I got my iPad Air 2 replaced today, both old and new one have a subtle curved screen. I think it might be normal.
My iPad Air 2 is not flat- it is slightly curved.
