My iPad Air 2 randomly has a "Pop Noise" out of the speaker. it happens randomly about once or twice a day when touching the screen or pressing a button. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Could it be a software issue or has it more likely to do with the hardware?

Yes, I exchanged my popping Air 2 December 18th. I've used my new iPad heavily every day with no popping. If you read this thread from the beginning you will likely see many who exchanged their popping iPads for ones that did not pop again.

not yet, i mean i don't want to be negative but we still don't know the limits of this issue. And why do i say that? a few people have had up to 3 exchanges...all popping.... Apple can't assure you your replacement is not gonna pop either...serious issue.
For those who don't have issues i'm glad for you though.
I exchanged mine on the 14th of Dec and just started getting popping a couple days ago always usually happened right off the charger at 100 percent.
Being negative must be in your DNA.
Realistic i'd say instead, i send you a hug and be happy. 🙂
BTW what the heck are you still doing here on this thread if your replacement works just fine? Insecure? mmm i bet yours pops too still...😉
Hey Psiko, I'm still here and mine has still never popped crackled or snapped. There's no reason to call someone out for hanging around if they don't have an issue. All are welcome in these forums. All. Even you!

I follow this discussion because I spent $800+ on a iPad that made a disturbing popping noise and while my replacement has not given me any issues, I would like to know if the popping is a continuing problem that might show up in my new one. However, since you have hijacked this disussion and polluted it with your constant posts saying the same things over and over, it's likely that any informative posts would get lost in your garbage. Your odd behavior here has led me to conclude you likely never had a ipad with the popping problem; you are just hanging out for some kind of cheap thrill from monopolizing the conversation.

I don't care what do you conclude about it, I have registered my Apple devices with Apple always, they know who i am and what i bought even my support tickets....so.....sy!

Apple should really give the option to ignore people on these forums. I have found some level 3+ users really enjoying antagonizing people with real problems. One user have a problem and then comes the other saying guess what? i don't have any problem with mine but i'm only trying to help....sigh.

Oh Apple does give that option. But in order to earn the right, one has to become a helpful member of the community. That means actually helping people solve technical issues. Maybe if you tried to be a helpful member of the community instead of the constantly whining person you are, you'd be able to ignore me. But that would require you to actually do something useful. We certainly don't expect that of you. No we don't.
I really really wish Apple starts to ban some of those users who think in their minds they are helping others and maybe they do but at the same time trolling people with real problems. I have seen many threads like this. They may work for Apple but can't assure that if that's the case it is just sad.
In the meantime i hope a mod deletes all the above out of topic posts, sorry but sometimes one is weak and ends feeding other annoying people and playing their game. I'm sorry.
