iPad air 2 pop noise

My iPad Air 2 randomly has a "Pop Noise" out of the speaker. it happens randomly about once or twice a day when touching the screen or pressing a button. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Could it be a software issue or has it more likely to do with the hardware?

I said I wasn't going to respond to you but I could not resist. Oh 25 points, then you should know exactly what is wrong, with all those solution points? By the way they are not popularity points there points awarded if you solved someones problem. If you ran a benchmark test and it was with in the average there really is nothing wrong with your iPad. You stated you did and all the scores were good so there you go. Your iPA2 is fine. Enjoy it and ignore the snapping noise.

OTher than that judging by your past posts you don't want help. I wish you well and I hope you find what ever it is you are looking for. Ciao. END LINE

I had a long phone call today with Apple support about my problem loosing the sound fully and having pop noises when I put my SIM-Card into the iPad Air2. They did take the logfiles about conflicts and crashes directly from my device and found a lot of conflicts. Finally after looking at all they told me to reset it again to factory settings, to set it up again and then try. It did work Sound with SIM card is back. So they told me they have such cases, something wrong in the backup. They told me I may not use the backup to restore the device or I will get the problem back again. That is really nice, doing all from zero again, building the App groups and so on. I must all do new and it works fine, pop sounds have gone. I believe something in the backups went wrong and as everybody always uses these backups when buying a new device to restore it the problem get's bigger. At least I deleted my backups now and setup the iPad from scratch. A lot of work, but if it works then it's worth it.

This popping sound is a hardware issue I'm sure of...reason, I've had mine crash, screen do strange things, lose sound and do nothing. You just never know what or if something will happen. To me it seems to be like a static pop..and here in iowa where it's cold we have a lot of static this time of year. But still I have an iPad 2 and this don't happen! I am now on my 4th iPad Air 2. I have been able to create the problem on my first 3 but this last one doesn't do it nearly as often as the other 3 did. The 1st 3 did it daily and this new one could take days to do it. 😟 I'm a big apple fan but this thing has problems! Some people think it has something to do with the speaker cause the sound comes from there and it could be...but think about it, where else is the sound going to come out of an enclosed case...where it has holes.

It is NOT good for a spark to be happening inside electronic equipment!
