iPad air 2 pop noise

My iPad Air 2 randomly has a "Pop Noise" out of the speaker. it happens randomly about once or twice a day when touching the screen or pressing a button. Has anybody else experienced this issue? Could it be a software issue or has it more likely to do with the hardware?

iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi, iOS 8.1

No i didnt. However this is not the first time an Apple representative lies to me then ( i mean according to you), not only one but two already assuring me my possible replacement was going to be new. Inside a brown box yes but new. An Apple lady via phone assured me many many times Apple doesnt give refurbished units in return.

Well, you did misunderstand but you'll never believe it.

Have a nice day.

No, you are being pretty narrow minded here and you will never admit somehow the contrary.

I'd love to post their names here but i know that is not allowed so....

LOL i can see the scenario:

Apple tech: Sir, we have good news for you, we are going to give you a replacement unit but it is NOT new it is a refurbished piece, now take it with you, go home and be happy...

Satisfied customer: Thank you, a refurbished replacement, just what i was expecting, ty! ty! LOL. 😎

Go ahead... Post their names. You haven't concerned yourself with the ToU so far.

PHilly if you have not guessed it by now but this person is a TROLL. Nothing more. No matter if you help them or not they will be very combative... My solution to them is to laugh at their ignorance and ignore their trolling nonsence. On and on. The difinition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Well, there is but an example. For you. Look back at their past posts the same thing over and over again.

I know. I just felt that a response was appropriate.

Since the Apple App store opened on July 10, 2008, it has paid out more than $4 billion to iOS developers--70 percent of the $5.71 billion it has booked in revenue.

Pretty big numbers, right?

Well, yes and no. Yes, those are big numbers that make my head spin and dwarf my personal tax return. At the same time, the real answer has to be no.

In the mobile commerce world, $4 billion is significant, but it's not a headline. It's more of a line item on a table that includes some much bigger numbers.

For example, in 2011 alone eBay accounted for $5 billion in mobile sales, double its 2010 mobile sales. Gartner projects mobile commerce will be a $31 billion market by 2016, with consistent growth of 39 percent compounded annually.

The Apple App Store will certainly be part of the mobile commerce ecosystem, but it will be a small part that shrinks proportionally over time for the following reasons.

The profitable Apps are free games
Digging deeper into the numbers from the Apple App Store reveals that the apps making money are overwhelmingly free games selling virtual goods.industry experts have estimated its revenues at $1 million-$3 million a day. Media reports now talk about an IPO valuation of $5 billion after a source recently said the company had filed to go public in theUnited States.Read more: http://www.businessinsider.com/how-candy-crush-makes-so-much-money-2013-10#ixzz3 Un6kxXi4

HEre is another source:http://www.businessinsider.com/how-candy-crush-makes-so-much-money-2013-10

they state that the number globally could be 85 billion most of that is iOS

there far more but have not the time. I did and do my research. Tim Cook mentioned the numbers during the september event. Follow the money. There was an article on Forbes that talked about the app lottery Just couple of days ago. Please keep in mind these links were quick look ups but there are more detailed earnings reports you can find regarding the sale of iOS apps.

ha ha kids, nothing better to do than flame threads at Apple forums right?, at least i have an issue with my ipad you guys don't, you pretty much need my attention, you need me, weird but yeah you need me, you keep quoting and quoting me. sigh.

Apple knows perfectly who i am, they know the serial number of my device, not only that, they have my phone number and know where i live, for me that's enough. Apple knows perfectly i'm a serious person with a problem and they also know i won't take a refurbished replacement as a solution for my problem, so in the meantime gonna be here pretty much waiting for a fix from Apple.

Mar 18, 2015 7:06 PM in response to Alphacatt

i did, the scores in general are above for mine.

But Alfpha if you allow me to add: Apple is pretty much number 1 because of its SOFTWARE yeah, hardware might be inferior, but Android is just lame IMO (despite i own a galaxy s3 currently), there no comparison between both OS.

Also there's no comparison between iTunes Store (iTunes) vs Google play (Kies 3), I love Apple on that aspect.

Android requiring an antivirus is just lame, if i had to choose again between a Samsung Table and an Apple i would choose the Apple tablet again, just because the software.

But hardware...that's a different story, Samsung is the king currently.

1-5 million dollars a day. They estimate by next year over 86.2 billion by 2016 more than 2/3 of that is iOS. i have to go but dont just check out that rag there are more accurate based on iOS and Droid. But 20 billion is about right they underestimated it. And i cannot find the article i read two days ago that showed actual revenues per game as provided by Apple and supporting developers.

Try Forbes or Berkshire Hathaway. It may have been the federal revenue department too. due to it is a publicly traded company their games have to be broke down by sales and made public. You forget about about 1.3 billion Chinese and over 6.9 billion people on this tiny little world.

SOrry alpha I had to chime in. Gotta split yall take care.

I wish you luck. 🙂

Also, somehow this is related to battery charge and sleep state-- which points to a memory buffer issue, probably in silicon.

I can see you know about electronics and yes pretty much i agree with your statement, this is hardware issue and a refurbished replacement doesn't guarantee a free pop device. Sad but true, sigh. POP POP POP Music....lame.

THere are problems with all things made by Humans. Nothing is perfect, amigo. Sorry you are having a hard time understanding that. I understand your frustration but after awhile and after 60 years on this planet i have learned to let things go. People make mistakes those mistakes can translate into grief for you but you too have made mistakes that have impacted others so knowing this you should understand life us full of ripples that lots of people have made in the great lake of our world and you can either drown in them or swim over them and go on to the next ripple in the lake. Peace and END LINE

Yes Sir, i couldn't agree more, i could see an obvious change in quality since 2014, before that Apple for me was rock solid regarding their hardware. My old ipad 4 retina was rock solid, heavy yes, but solid....and now with this lame iPop, sigh, custome service is even worst.. those were the times....

Well "amigo" you are pretty much suggesting me to learn to live with my iPop and leave Apple alone enjoying my money right? I don't think so. I'm still waiting for an Apple solution but if that never comes at least i'm making noise here, you know...one more pop, one more post.

Hope you don't have a hard time understanding that. 😉
