Just finished installing Yosemite today and haven't had any real issues...however, I've noticed that two-finger scrolling doesn't work in Microsoft Word for mac. It works fine in many other applications (including other Microsoft apps--Excel & PowerPoint), but not Word.
I've looked for any scrolling options that may be "unchecked" in the preferences, but haven't found any.

Restarting it didn't work for me, but I have Microsoft Word 2011. Two finger scrolling still does not work even after restarting my computer and Word.
This worked. I didn't exactly find com.microsoft.word.plist files but found two other similar files and removed them and restarted word. Boom the scroll of words is back

Two finger scroll on tracked doesn't work in Word for Mac.
I'm in 14.4.7 and it works on and off and have Yosemite 10.10.1
After copy-paste actions it sometimes stops.
Restarting sometimes helps.
Very annoying bug which needs to be resolved soon!

I have tried to open word, select Help----> Check for update----> clicked
Downloaded fine, no need for restarting anything and i have now got full access to my tracker pad not only on word but on every other microsoft office systems

I downloaded Office 2011 yesterday (no updates), and I am running the latest Yosemite (10.10.1).
Two-finger scrolling does not work for me in Word.

Removing the word plists will solve this problem (unsure for how long though)
- Quit Word
- Go to ~/Library/Preferences (this is the user library, not the system library!) and remove com.microsoft.Word.plist and com.microsoft.Word.plist.lockfile
- Restart Word
- Solved!

I am on a Macbook Air with Yosemite 10.10.1 and MS Office 2011 Word for Mac 14.4.7
I had also lost two-finger working but it came back after quitting Word, and then re-starting the laptop and re-opening Word

I had the same issue with scrolling suddenly not working. This fixed worked very well and the link was particularly helpful- thank you aileentati9. And didn't have to reboot. Thanks all.
Can't agree more. It happens too often and I usually delete the Word icon from the dock, restart and it scrolls most of the time. I have latest update. This time I have removed the .plist file from Preferences but don't expect things will improve.
FYI, I am on full release version of office 2016 and updated as of Aug3. I was having this issue big time in Excel and it was maddening. Doing the above, except with the excel plist solved it. I deleted the word one too just to save that issue later
