Yosemite Calendar - Outlook/Exchange calendar events keep updating and sending out invitations to participants

Yosemite Calendar keeps modifying outlook events on my calendar and sending out invites to participants even though I have not changed the event in any way. Anyone know if there is a setting that I can change to fix this issue?

Ugh. Yeah, I just dismissed a notification in Calendar, and it sent out another blank meeting request. Sorry for the false alarm. I swear it was working yesterday...

For what it's worth, it's not fixed in 10.10.3, either.

Just to be clear, is the described issue involving MS Outlook for Mac somehow, or is the Mac Mail app to be involved?

Neither. This is via the Calendar App, syncing with an Exchange server.

Ok. So the issue is triggered with events in the Calendar app.

And did anyone experience the problem managing events using MS Outlook?

I'm having the same issue on 10.10.2. My work around has been to enable ignore alerts on my Exchange calendar in the Mac calendar app which has solved the issue for me.. I have had to revert to using Outlook for my work calendar until this is resolved. Nothing you do on the iPhone/iPad creates this issue. It is completely tied to the Mac Calendar app.

Hi Brannon,

I don't find the IGNORE ALERTS option in the calendar app. Can you be more specific on how to enable it?

Go to the list of your calendars on the left hand side.
Control click/Right click on the name of your exchange calendar.
Select get info.
Put a check next to ignore alerts.

Just keep in mind you will not be reminded of any meetings, etc. so make sure you have other ways to be notified of important meetings like using Outlook.

I wonder if Exchange version matters? I have this issue using EWS on Exchange 2007 - does the same problem exist on Exchange 2013?

This still happens for me.

It is disruptive for all of the attendees in my meetings.
