All I have is a chromebook. My ipad will not come back from when I turned power off. Just an itunes logo in red. Chromebooks will not support itunes.. Is there any way to get ipad to work from a chromebook? or from icloud on a chromebook? Need help.

IF you can access iCloud.com in a web browser on the Chromebook, which I think that you can do, you might be able to erase the iPad using Find My iPhone. However, if you are seeing the iTunes logo and the USB cable on the iPad screen, your iPad has gone into recovery mode and needs to be restored using iTunes on a computer. That will not work on a Chromebook.
If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Just borrow a computer that you can put iTunes on, even if just for this job and nothing more. Then reset it to factory default. If you've been running your iCloud Backup, then you can restore from that. The Apple Store will do that for you, too.
