BUG in process suhelperd: over-released legacy external boost assertions (1 total, 1 external, 0 legacy-external)

Speak of the devil. I type this now having just crashed and rebooted while running Virtual Box.

Last messages in the logs before rebooting is a huge pile of GPU restart errors/output.

Well, I have heard it is happening to both. My machine is a little older, but it is an 2.93 eight core with 24 gig of ram and it just sings when running snow leopard, but yosemite has slowed it down a bit with the freezes and reboots. The only thing I can possibly think they may need upgrading is my video card. However, I can say this, the things I did earlier in this blog "> Shut off speak recognition, trash com.apple.finder.plist and com.apple.systempreferences.plist, relaunch finder and restart." Have definitely helped no questions about it. It is now freezing every couple of weeks.

I may upgrade to a better video card and see if that helps. I've got a 500mb and I may go to a 1 or 2gig. I know it has to do with video ram and/or applications displaying graphics or video, gpu, vram, or something like that and a new video card may at least help the problem. I still am not sure what the deal is.

For me and my team, it happens when on wireless and wired and while doing a variety of tasks, but always when connected to a shared server which uses Active Directory. It has to be something with that connection.

That cannot be it for me. I am hardwired to internet and have no shared server. The only consistency I have noticed is safari. It has happened once in excel and about 30 times in safari. I still think it has to do with rendering flash content or video content.

No amelioration noticed with 10.10.3 ... Another GPU Panic with shelperd on my mid 2010 MacBook Pro...

I am downloading 10.10.3 now. Some told me to get rid of

com.google.keystone.agent.plist

and to get rid of any left over launchdaemon plists from previous systems

I did it and now waiting, not sure if it will help.

This has worked for me like a charm.

clear the files from the following folders :

1. ~/Library/Caches

2. ~/Library/LaunchAgents

3. ~/Library/Saved Application State

4. /Library/Caches

5. /Library/LaunchAgents

6. /Library/LaunchDaemons

7. /Library/StartupItems

Then these specific files

8. /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.PowerManagement.plist

9. /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist

-Disable login items from ->system prefrences-> accounts or users and groups->login items->remove any un-used apps

Reboot and everything should be ok.
