"An unknown error has occurred" when login in appleid.apple.com

I have the same problem with appleid.apple.com

Also when I try to access iCloud Account Details in System Preferences on my iMac it says 'You are not authorised!' but all seems ok on my iPad

same here, i cannot access my iCloud Account Details both in my MacBook and in my iPad, keep getting "An unknown error occurred"

Hi guys,

After updating the newest version, signing out and in apple ID after that, I have solved this problem immediately. Try it!

I think my problem is different then.

I can log into everything on Mac and iPhone (I have IOS 8.1 and OSX 10.10 Yosemite).

My issue is purely the Apple ID website, where you "Manage your Apple ID". This function is OS Independent.

I will stick to this one Login to Manage your Apple ID then An unknown error has occurred.

That said, there is probably a link somewhere.

I tried logging out and in again yesterday but no effect. Somehow all is fine today - it lets me log in via the web page and also in System Preferences.

Having read ++mb's comment, I tried again this morning.

I can now log in.

I have not changed anything, so can only presume that it is an issue at the Apple end!

All good now.
