iPhone 6 headphone jack crack

I got my iphone 6 delivered to me 5 days ago. When I tried plugging in the headphone provided by apple the jack cracked! This is indeed a manufacture defect and not happy with it. Spoke to Apole service cdntre who are a whole days drive from me. I requested them to get me a replacement set so I could swap one on the spot as I cannot wait for it to be sent for servicing . They declined and said it needs to be sent to a service station and could take a week. Has anyone faced such a problem ?

I am facing the same issue ..i have been to apple apple care and had talked about 2 hr with apple people on phone as well. They said it is a physical damage and not cover under Warranty .its been only 2 week i got my phone and i dont know how that has happened .i dont use phone for listing to music but while using head-jack i noticed that ,initially i thought its a dust but it was a crack Either its a manufacture defect or its has happened from my side. Phone is not damaged neither it has any stretch or dent . when i told them this , they said it might has happened because of use so question arises what Quality of material apple is using for making iphone that it cant be use for 12 days . So Are we spending thousands of rupees to buy a phone which is made up of substandard material ??

Hope apple people will ans me ..and hope to hear from them soon

Yes NiN04 i so much agree with you. The quality of materials used are not typical standards. How could they have even though of making the iphone 6 jack inner jacket out of plastic! All the previous iphones were all made of metal.

It was a waste of time for me as spoke to apple service and even drove a whole day to check my phone at the apple service centre and they denied replcement saying it was physical damage. It was faulty manufacture i insist. Im not happy with the decision apple provided and doubt i will ever use any apple products in the future!
