Select the Track Header (Where your vol and pan buttons are) and then push the letter A (for Automation) on your computer keyboard.

where is the track header then how do you get the dots on the volume line to move

I have the same question need to adjust the volume on the track..I edit music and join various pieces ..This is difficult to find things that were available in the previous version

(Figure 02) Shows the Dark Gray Track Headers with the name of the Track along with Pan and Volume Slider.

(Figure 03) Shows the Automation Lane. Highlight the Header and Press the letter A to open. Double click on the line to add Automation Keyframes

Double click on the track wherever you want to make your changes. The sliders will become operative.
