if i download whatsapp beta for iphone 6 can i still update when the official update comes out?

Whatsapp for the iPhone 6/6 Plus *****! It's just the iPhone 5 app zoomed in and looks so blurry and ugly. So until they optimize it for the iphone 6/6 plus i want to download the beta version. But i wanted to ask, if i do download the beta version, will my chats get deleted? And can i still update whatsapp when the official app finally comes out? please reply asap.
