can't open iTunes

I can't open iTunes at all and I haven't been able to for more than a month. When I click on it to open it, a message comes up that says: "The drive or network connection that the shortcut 'iTunes.Ink' refers to is unavailable. Make sure that the disk is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again." I haven't updated it or anything, so that can't be the problem, and all my anti-virus and firewall stuff is updated. Does anyone know what's going on?

Have you tried launching iTunes directly from "C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe"? Your shortcut just might not be working for whatever reason (which is what "iTunes.Ink" is).

If iTunes created that shortcut, you should make your own that refers to the correct file, as some people have had issues with QuickTime and iTunes shortcuts created from the installer.

Hope this helps!

did you have your itunes installed on the C drive, or on some different drive on your system? if it was a different drive, has the drive letter of that drive changed recently?
