OS X Yosemite hangs when exiting Time Machine Interface

Hi all,

Under special circumstances, OS X hangs when we exit the Time Machine interface. This seems to be related to the "Login Window".

Let's me explain the steps to reproduce the bug :

1. Boot normally and log into your session (with password).

2. Then, enter the Time Machine interface and do some browsing (or not).

3. Exit Time Machine interface by clicking the "Cancel" button.

For this first time, all is working as expected, no hang.

4. Now, go to the "Login Window" (with the method shown on the image below) . IMPORTANT: Do not close your session, only switch to the "Login Window" by keeping your active session in background.

5. Relog into your session normally by entering your password.

6. Then, reenter the Time Machine interface and do some browsing (or not).

7. Exit Time Machine interface again by clicking the "Cancel" button.

This time, the mac is supposed to freeze and not come back to life (Beach Ball of Death)...

Can you replicate this on your Mac, just to see if I'm not alone ??!!

Thanks,

Torp

EDIT:

In the meantime, you can workaround this bug (without force shutdown your Mac) by assigning a keyboard shortcut to call the "Login Window". I use "Lock Me Now" (http://www.igrsoft.com/en/lockmenow/)to do this. So, next time your OS X hangs, all you have to do is to call the "Login Window" with your keyboard shortcut and relog to your session and the "spinning beach ball" should go away !
