Intermittent Proxy Error: Mavericks Server

I have MXToolbox running periodic checks on my Mavericks Server (v3.2.2 on OS X 10.9.5), and I get notifications daily that the server is down. Usually, when I then check the hostname via browser, I am able to connect, but often the Wiki icons don't show up. I just get the spinning "loading" graphic. If I refresh the page, it tends to reload just fine.

Today, I got the same partially loaded wiki page, and instead of reloading, I clicked the "lock" symbol to log out, and the server threw this 502 Proxy error:

Proxy Error

The proxy server received an invalid response from an upstream server.
The proxy server could not handle the request GET /wiki/.

Reason: Error reading from remote server

Apache/2.2.26 (Unix) PHP/5.4.30 mod_ssl/2.2.26 OpenSSL/0.9.8za DAV/2 Server at obfuscated.hostname.net Port 443

Refreshing the page results in the Wiki service responding normally again.

I am appreciative of any help I can get.

I am having this same issue, but when I go to the above .log files I do not have authority to open them. (Btw, I am the administrator account for my computer). Any suggestions?

I've seen this error recently actually. This error would show up if apache was working, but the Postgres DB server was down for the wiki. I'm betting if you check the Collaboration Daemon log and the postgres-Day.log files in /Library/Server/Wiki/Logs, you'll find the database keeps shutting down and starting back up.
