YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DELETE THE HISTORY OR CACHE

This little annoying script is Javascript and can be disabled so you can close it.

1. Close Safari by double tapping the "Home" button and swipe up on the Safari application or click the "X" depending on the version iOS you have.

2. Go to Settings > Safari > Advanced

3. turn off Javascript

4. open Safari (the annoying popup might show up one more time, just click it off if it does)

5. close the page that has the pop up

6. go back in and enable Javascript so the rest of your legitimate sites work correctly.

DONE!

I just had the same happen to my daughters phone I called the number and a guy answered the phone

didnt say a company name of any sort just hi how can I help you and it sounded overseas call call center type background noise.

told him my daughters phone had got some IOSalertfaults.com on the screen and he said yes my daughter had accessed a site that had some malicious BS

so then he tells me he can get me with a tech right away and for the one time fee of $99 blah blah

I asked him if it was apple support I was calling ,he said no ,its such and such, that was when I dropped the phone on the wanker

You can say a lot of **** about Apple products but there are a boatload of MFs out there who would sell you all sorts of I believe its called Crap and tell you anything to get money out of you.aand I have to say this forum is fairly freakin cool too lots of answers to questions I dont want to dig through the manual for, if I had a manual

Good night yall

hey everyone! this is a huge scam!!

I called the # from my home phone to make sure and sure enough the promt sounded like a terrible voice robot recording. If this was apple support you wouldnt be hearing a terrible grade recording or music! Apple and ios have standards high above this! I let the music play until an east indian man answered. I asked him questions and he seemed to know multiple things like where i was calling from. He also asked about 3 times how i stumbled on to this issue and what i was browsing for (non of his business of course) he said there are ways to fix this. He was terrible so naturally i hung up the phone.

The website i got this issue from was hdmovie-14.com DO NOT GO THERE. It used to be a site to watch movies from and i went on there after asking a coworker about getting movies which i normally dont do. .I had previously visited the site and yes with pop ups it actually worked. But i went to look a few weeks ago while being bored and the site was shut down. Made complete sense to me. I then forgot that i had visited it and decided to a couple days ago and thats when the HUGE screen popped up and wouldnt go away. Obviously someone overseas had pirated this very popular shut down website to be reactivated only to try to get customers to call and "fix their ipads iphones or laptops" it is nothing but a scam to try to get your credit card information i am sure there are multiple websites where this is happening and i would suggest beign careful

the advice below about restarting your phone and deleting your cookies works perfectly and i have had no issues since
