Websites not accepting me.com address

Over the last couple of months, I have had repeated problems with different websites not accepting my me.com email address. It's happened on shopping websites, my university website and others. I get error messages saying that I need to input a "valid email address." I've tried switching to .icloud and even my old .mac, but none work.

What's going on here and how can I get around it? I've never had these kinds of problems until recently. HELP!

Apple has moved me.com to iCloud.com

What do I need for iCloud on a Mac?

As I said, I tried icloud.com too, but I'm getting the same error messages. And mac.com and me.com addresses still work. They are still valid email addresses. But for some reason, certain websites aren't accepting apple email addresses at all. It doesn't matter which extension you use.

I have the same problem. Many sites won't accept me.com. I've never had problems with iCloud.com

I can't always use iCloud. For example, if I am trying to unsubscribe from an email or newsletter service, I have to use the email address they are using. And even though their email reached me, the unsubscribe form won't accept that address. It's infuriating.

To me this sounds like the webmaster in question is trying to filter out known old addresses that no longer work. Write a letter to the webmaster, opening a gmail account, so he can get back with you.

In situations such as these, I strongly recommend writing the iCloud support team and ask them to ensure that emails going to the old addresses get blocked from your iCloud account. If they won't do that, it is time to drop iCloud altogether.

It may take 72 hours for an actual response, but explain to them your dilemma in detail.
