Thanks turingtest2. I'll try this and hope for the best.

Rather than change the media kind of the existing Digital Booklet another option is to right-click on it and use Show in Windows Explorer, select the file and press Ctrl+C, then navigate to your Automatically Add to iTunes folder and press Ctrl+V. This would create a copy that you can sync to your device, while retaining the original as part of the album in iTunes.

This method helped me. For some reason, iTunes refused to change the booklet's media kind in my pc.
