I dont know how I ended up with a username that advertises both my name and city of residence (I would never choose such a name if I knew it would be posted publicly), but for privacy reasons I'd like to set my forum username to something that isn't so personal. Searching the forums has led me to believe that there is no way for users to do this, but that mods might be able to assist me. How can I contact a moderator to request a change of username?
Unless jmr are your initials it appears the hosts have a bit of a sense of humor. 🙂

Thanks for the clarification. I thought the hosts changed one set of random letters and numbers for another. Now that you have a user name you can live with don't be a stranger. 🙂

Reason: I didn't realize I was signing up with my real name, and would rather have a user name, for privacy reasons. I am very reluctant to post unless I get a change.

Congradulations on another successful user name change. I know the second name was changed but what about hsfdgfdgfsgd ?
Dunno. Maybe the user has not responded to the Hosts' contact (by whatever means that is - email?)
This indicator remaining apparently means that no Host action has occurred, as it is missing from the new jeremy's post - Perhaps a second 'reminder' to the Hosts is in order?
It seems like " ∆ Abuse Reported " is a little harsh, doesn't it? Most of the reasons for reporting are NOT abuse at all!
" ∆ Report Received " might be more appropriate.
[this is surely the result of an oversight of the 'obscure details' when customizing the feature]

Same question - I created the ID some years ago - and have not posted in the last years - but for some reason now my forum name now displays my full name.
I dont want to change my AppleID - just my forum display name.
