Report limit is frustrating, isn't it?

I wonder when (or if) we could expect some explanation of that policy - it must be a policy, right?

(I have not wanted to run a test at the JiveCommunity without a wingman - let me know if you want to get to the bottom of this with me)

I'm sure it must be a policy with some logic to it. After all they must know it bugs people from time to time from all the reports that go through the other route.

If it's possible, could you please alert the hosts to ask if I may change my username to TeaWolf? I'm not sure why but I must have used my real name when creating the account and would rather something else now. Thank you 🙂.

For some bizarre reason, I see that my user name is part of a family member's email address from years ago. I have no idea how that happened but I would like to change my user name to BetsyG. Thanks. 🙂

BetsyG is taken.

While I alert our Hosts to your desire, substitute any other preferences that you may have into this URL where the name goes and find one that you like

TT2, I checked and they changed the wrong things. Also, I found out that "huggybear" wasn't available anyway.

Could you ask that they change my "Username" to "hyperjeff" and to fix my "Name" back to my actual name? Thanks!

Each forum username is associated with a particular email address. Your Pamoola55 identity has been involved in about 10 threads over 5 years. Pamoola's isn't following any. If that is also your account then you need to sign into it with the right credentials. If you want your username for this login to read something other than pamelafromoak park then you'll need to pick a new username that nobody else is using.

Your own username appears at the top of every page so you can access your profile and make changes.

I received an email that my username was changed as requested (thank you for that) but when I look at my profile settings and my posts, I still see my full name as showing.

The email (that does not permit responses) said to mention this when responding to the email...

I have this same issue - as evidenced by my username, and much to my embarrassment, I just randomly punched in a non-sensical line of letters and numbers! I happened to be signed in with my Apple ID on another tab on my browser and I had no idea that this was setting up a username 😟

I just want a normal username!

Hi,

It isn't something you can do yourself, but I have alerted the hosts to your request. Hopefully you will get an email asking you to supply alternatives. Obviously you cannot have a name that is already in use. Right-click on your this link to your profile SimonStark and open in a new tab, then try different names at the end of the URL. If you get a "Looking for something in Apple Support Communities?" message then you have an unused name. Use + instead of space.

I have the exact same issue, and from all replies it seems to be either impossible or implicitly accessible.

I first logged into the forum 7 years ago back in China, and I have no idea why my username consists of my firstname and my city of origin. None of the settings seem to be able to change this.

How? It happens because the sign-up page suggested an option of <Name> from <Location> as a possible username, although you're free to choose an alternative if you prefer. Are asking about changing yours?
