Audio on keynote exported quicktime videos cuts out at 50 seconds?

It just started! When I export my keynote into a Quicktime file, the audio cuts out at 50 seconds. I have been creating videos a long time with this method and never had problems before.

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10), Keynote 6.5

This is STRICTLY a work around! Official fix will come from Apple as an update more than likely.

Duplicate item first (File > Duplicate). On newly duplicated project change file association type (File > get info). Under name and extension section take out .key). Close Get Info and save with removing .key. Double click to open the file (now a compression). Open uncompressed folder (same name as original file, now shows as a folder). Now in the Data folder find a .mov file named "Recording" with randomly generated letters and numbers behind it. Drag .mov file to desktop or any other directory. Open extracted .mov file with QuickTime to verify integrity. Save as audio file only. Get Info on file again and place .key value at end of file/extension for project. Open project. Under Play menu option delete the recording. Under Audio inspector drag the .mov of audio only to recording back in. Test play project to see if its accurate. Export to QuickTime and see if issue is resolved.

If issue persists:

Export with corrupted audio as QuickTime. Separate the audio from video track. Delete audio. Import the extracted .mov audio file. Share > File. Enjoy.

Thank you so much itm78 for sharing that information. I have had the same problem and have been working around it my exporting to QuickTime then adding the soundtrack to the movie. Now I have your fix, that works for me too, I don't need to take that second step. Thanks a lot. I hope Apple will fix it, otherwise why have the mute capability?

We encounter the same problem in the production of our e-learning videos. The thing "fun" is that we are already registered in "package" ... The audio files are actually cut down a fifty second, but it also happens that export quicktime plant completely . I first thought of a power problem, but after testing on other machines, this is not the case. And then I thought of a software problem, but on a blank mac Keynote any newly installed ... same problem.

Configuration: mid-2010 iMac i7 2,8Ghz, 16GB RAM, SSD.

Using El Capitan 10.11.3 and Keynote 6.6.1. My audio VO WAV files played fine in Keynote slideshow, but some were cutting off towards the end when I exported to Quicktime. Drove me crazy. Tried all of the suggestions here but no fix. So I brought the WAV file used in the slide that was cutting off, back into Adobe Audition and exported it to a 192kbps MP3 file - reinserted back into Keynote and voila, no cut-off when I export to Quicktime. The original WAV file was recorded at 48Khz, so I'm thinking there's a compatibility issue with that type of WAV file - maybe how it was originally saved in Audition. Someone could try other formats too, but frankly, the MP3 sounds fine as it's only a voice over. And if I redo all VOs to MP3, it will reduce overall file size significantly. This could be key too as some have said various Keynote issues could be due to large file sizes.
