iPhone 6 Plus November Orders!

Hello all-

Didn't find any threads for the customers who ordered an iPhone 6/6 Plus this month. I placed my order recently, November 10th, and I'm just beginning the "waiting" phase. I ordered an iPhone 6 Plus 128GB Space Gray model on Sprint network. I have been an Android user since the OS came into existence. I'm willing to switch to Apple and give iOS a chance (with "modifications"). For those of you who placed an order for the iPhone 6/6 Plus this month, how hopeful are you of getting your delivery in a timely manner? What phone did you order? For those of you who already received your phone how long did you wait? And how are you liking it?

Thank you all.

Zoisk, Not to discourage you but just be aware that AT&T is seriously behind on their orders and sadly is not being truthful about expected ship dates. I spoke with several different reps on the phone and finally asked them nicely to PLEASE just give me an honest answer so I could make a decision about whether or not I should cancel and order through Apple - the last guy I spoke with said if it was HIM, he would cancel and order through Apple! He said they are getting swamped with calls from angry customers who keep getting their ship dates bumped back AND, if you go to ATT's forum and read all of the tales of horror from people waiting, there are many folks who suddenly and without any warning get their orders cancelled by AT&T for no good reason!

My personal decision to not wait the additional 2 + weeks for AT&T and order instead from Apple was based on AT&T's really bad track record with this whole thing but mostly because Apple gives accurate ship dates AND they are usually early AND with black friday and christmas shopping coming, I think AT&T will divert more phones to the stores to keep customers happy rather than keep their promise to those who are STILL waiting for phones ordered in SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER!

One of the issues with AT&T (told to me directly from an AT&T supervisor on the DL) is that they didn't get enough quantity in their orders to Apple to be able to fulfill their orders in a reasonable manner. Yes, Apple is trying to catch up with production but at least when you order directly from them, you don't have AT&T in the middle!

Good luck 🙂

So taking your advice from above I canceled my order with att because I found the same model, color, and capacity at a local target store. Going to pick it up tomorrow morNing as they are holding it for me. Apparently they just got these phones in stock because I called a few hours ago and they didn't have them. However their website said they did so I called a second time around 12 and what do you know they had them in stock. Never thought id have it before Thanksgiving!

Rosiega,

If you go to AT&T's online forum and read the experiences of those who have ordered through them, it will help you decide if you want to buy it elsewhere. They have the longest wait of any carrier.

I initially ordered my 6+ 128G Silver from the AT&T store on Oct. 17 and was told by them it would be 2-4 weeks to deliver...well..When checking the online order status the next day, the *estimated* deliver was Nov. 17- Dec. 3...On Nov. 15, the status then changed to Nov. 28. - Dec. 10. After lots of research online and reading about others REAAAALLLY bad experiences with AT&T orders, I called AT&T to try to get a straight answer. First I was told they were back ordered. Then was told I should get the tracking number any day.

I finally decided, based on so many people's problems with long waits, inaccurate info, etc. from AT&T, that what was likely to happen is that on Dec. 10 - the last day of my shipping window - that it would probably get bumped to the end of Dec. and into January!

Yesterday, I called and cancelled my AT&T order and called Apple to order through them!

What a totally different experience! The guy who helped me was amazing and even got a 3 way call going with AT&T to fix an AT&T mistake.

One of the many things I appreciate about Apple is that they under promise and over produce - especially with estimated shipping times! I expect I should get the phone in about 2 weeks.

This was such a terrible experience with AT&T and from everything I've read, they have LOTS of very angry customers who are totally getting the run around on these iphone 6 orders. The customer service is a joke and every rep I spoke with blamed ALL the issues on Apple which, of course, is not true! Apple has no control over how AT&T chooses to fulfill the orders of phones they receive from Apple. People who ordered phones in September are still waiting for their phones...those who ordered later than me in October (same exact phone) received their phone already so their is no "line" in which those who ordered first get their phones first, etc. It's a big, disorganized mess!

My advice is, if you are with AT&T, DON'T order your phone through them - get it from Apple!

Frozen... I had the same experience (See earlier posts RE: my AT&T order) Same thing...Rep in store said 2-3 weeks then looked at online status and it said it wouldn't ship for over a month. Day 2 the status changed to "preparing to ship" and remained in that status for over a month! The first ship date came and went and was bumped to mid December! At that point, after a few conversations with AT&T and never getting a truthful answer, I cancelled my order with them and ordered with Apple directly. I ordered with Apple on Friday of last week (Nov. 20) and just received a notice it will ship next week! There are still people waiting for phones to ship from AT&T who ordered in September and October and some are getting their orders suddenly cancelled by AT&T after waiting for almost 2 months, forcing them to the back of the "line". In all reality, there isn't really a "line" with AT&T and their order fulfillment system is a hot mess with lots of angry customers. Thus was my decision to cancel and order with Apple directly. No AT&T between me and the phone anymore! Just my opinion that I would recommend avoiding ordering through AT&T. Good luck 🙂

I've been hearing a lot of unsatisfied customers complain about AT&T and the way they are dealing with this delay. Truthfully, it's almost all of the carriers. I know they can only wait for Apple and I'm not exactly sure what they could do to help besides fulfill orders. Of course, that is no reason for them to not have a better first-come-fist-served order fulfillment process. I ordered my over the phone with Sprint and I hate waiting but that's what I have to do, as I upgraded via lease option and I'm required to turn in my old phone back to Sprint. Only Sprint can fulfill my upgrade. ***** :/

I ordered my iPhone 6 plus 64gb Gold on 11/25/14 through T-Mobile. Was told to expect a 6-8 week waiting period! My T-Mobile account does not give an expected shipping date. Right now it just says its on back order. I originally ordered this phone from a store and the rep that helped me did the order wrong. So when I got home I called T-Mobile customer care. The guy I talked to told me that there was nothing he could do since it was on my jump program. He told me to wait until I get the phone and to refuse it. Once they get it back I could try again. I wasn't happy with that answer so I called again to talk to someone else who seemed very helpful. She told me she could not cancel the other order that I would definitely have to refuse it but that she could place another order but she would just put it under my husbands jump account. She let me know that she put the order request into her supervisor and that I would get an EIP email shortly. After a few hours I got the feeling I should call again and double check that everything was correct. I'm glad I did! I got transferred to a supervisor immediately. The supervisor told me that the first order placed was never placed on my jump account along with being the wrong phone. She also told me she could put in a cancel request and that it would most likely never get shipped. She then let me know that she didn't see anything on my account about having another order placed! So she went ahead and placed the 6 plus order for me over the phone. She said she would call on Monday to follow up and let me know if the original order got canceled. So now I wait... I've read a lot of threads where people who said they pre ordered still haven't gotten their phones. This is crazy. I'm just hoping mine comes sooner rather than later and that when I finally do receive expected shipping dates that they don't get pushed back. Has anyone else's order details showed that they were on back order? How long before the status changed? I'm starting to wonder with all the problems with my order experience with T-Mobile if I should have ordered through apple.
