10.10.1 Severly Slows VMWare 7 (?)

After installing 10.10.1 (as an update to 10.10) all VMs of my Fusion 7.0.1 are plagued with massive performance drops.

Could be a coincidence with something else, but it's pretty cut & dry in my mind. They worked. I updated. They don't work (well).

Startup of Win7 and Linux VMS is taking several times longer than normal. Openeing even a file system window can take a minute. Etc. etc.

I've restarted the Mac and the VMS (guest OS restart, not just suspend). No help.

Re-install of VMTools does not help.

I will get around to installing a new VM from scratch to see what happens, but I wanted to know if anyone else might be seeing this?

According to a VMware tech, this is an issue with Yosemite. VMware has made Apple aware of the issue. These are the instructions I received from the tech

Run the command:

sudo nvram -d boot-args

and restart your iMac, this will help reset the boot arguments on the host.

Now after the restart run the command:

sudo nvram boot-args=debug="0x10"

and restart your iMac once again and see if the same helps resolve the issue.
