Where do I install ICC profiles for Epson 9800 printer

I am having trouble finding where I install the ICC profiles for an Epson 9800 printer? Can't find it in Library (Yosemite).

Use the Finder > Go to Folder menu again but this time enter the following and then press the Go button.

/Library/Printers/Epson

In one of these folders you may see an ICC folder and if you open this, you may see other paper profiles here. So try copying the profiles you have into this folder to see if that helps.

Hi Pahu...Tried your suggestion but when I get to the Epson folder, I just find the icons for the printers that I have but no folders are in there. Color Sync seems to be the only place that I can put them but they do not show up in the paper lists when I get ready to print. Any other suggestions? Another friend of mine is having the same problem. Many thanks.

The printer driver installer should put all the profiles you need into your system. If you're adding extra profiles where you copy them to depends on your osx version. Try opeming the ColorSync app in the Utilities folder. It will show you where your other profiles are installed. Follow the paths and copy into the relevant folders. Restart Photoshop or just go to the proof Setup under the View menu. This will repoll all the profiles on your system.

Hi Johnno,

I have 10.10.2 system. I have two printers. The epson 3880, and the sinfonia cs2. I've done a lot of research on this, and after talking with apple, talking with adobe, and talking with professionals in the community it has been stated that currently icc profiles cannot be seen in photoshop, or by the computer, or both as of now. This is a problem with the new operating system only, and does not effect past systems. Older profiles that have been added are safe, and I can still use those.

The old way to add profiles was: Go-Library-ColorSync-Profiles- I can still add my profile to this folder, but I cannot use the file.

The professionals in the photo community said that they have not upgraded operating systems specifically for this reason. My hope is that a solution is worked out sooner rather than later.

I waxs using Maverick and i had no problem to install ICC profiles and then find them in the Photoshop print menu. With Yosemite it has been a little bit more difficult.... epson seems not to know the problem and the install PDF is wrong.

The problem is that you need now to install your ICC profiles in the Hidden Library.

The accès to the folder is finder/ alt/fenêtre (window?)/bibliothèque (Library)/colorsync/profiles

Sorry for the translation i use the french version of 10.10.2

Then you will find your profiles in the photoshop print menu just as it was with Maverick
