Camera Shutter iPhone 6 Plus - No sound for first shot

IOS 8.4 brought no fix to this issue. Still camera shutter sound only appears after the 1st shot. I suspect there might be other notification areas where this bug could be reproduced.

I'm pretty sure that update was only for Apple Music. But yeah, I don't know where or if this could affect other areas of notifications and sounds. I'm bringing mine in. This bug has really ticked me off.

I'm bringing mine in for a Samsung. 8.4 was not only for Apple music; it was for introducing other bugs and/or changes as well. For example, with 8.4, default email account no longer applies to emails composed WITHIN the mail app. Thanks, Apple!!! 😟😟😟😟 Someone sat down and thought it was a good idea to change this. UN-BE-F**-LIEVABLE!

guys, i got my iphone 8 days ago, tryed everything still no shutter sound with 1st picture, not always but sometimes, its annoying, any1 found out the answer?

I have an iPhone 6sPlus, 128 GB grey, same problem.

If you turn OFF the live button on the IPhone camera, sound will work. It doesn't work while the "live" feature is on.

Yyour comment refers to a feature of the 6S; this thread was about the bug where on ios 8 the sound did not play sometimes for a notification, message, or the first shot of the camera

iOS 9.0.2 and I still have the problem in my 5S.

Perhaps is a hardware issue?

I have been getting crazy with the same problem with my new iPhone6s. I was about to visit service when I realised there was nothing wrong at all and certainly not a hardware issue!

Here is what solved my problem.

1. Go Settings > Sounds and turn of the option "Change with buttons" by moving the bar to the left.

2. Using the left sided sound buttons set volume to maximum.

3. See if you hear the shutter now: take a picture. At this stage the problem was solved for me!

4. You can always undo the first step now and allow the "change with buttons" again.

HI, I had no sound on any camera shots on my new 6s+ but have found the sound returns when I turn off 'live'. Hope this helps.

I didn't find anything related to this but it is probably due to sound being recorded when you shoot LIVE pictures. They probably wanted to avoid shutter sound being recorded on/with pictures. When you turn it off the sound is back.

bro i just figured out the solution. i've got a iPhone 6s plus and it made no sounds while clicking pictures. then i turned off the live photos. and the sound returned.

i don't know if the 6 plus has live photos or not. but this might help.

Go to PHOTO, Turn off LIVE which is the Circle on top in the center. That will do it.
