h.265 for quicktime
does apple quicktime support h.265 on the mac I've been editing a video and just finished it and encoded it from h.264 to h.265 but when I play it back on quicktime it doesn't go through any suggestions

Don’t do that. Both codecs are lossy, meaning the quality can only get worse when you transcode between them (or when you re-encode using the same codec). If you need it in H.265, it’s best to use the raw uncompressed video or to use H.265 right from the start.
