iPhone 6, ghost touching screen...

My phone is going crazy, selecting things all over the screen. And I've read that most of these issues happen when connected to a non-Apple charger, but my ghost touches began when I wasn't connected to anything. I've reset it so many times and it'll help for a hit, but today I can't even unlock my phone because it keeps putting random numbers for my unlock code. It's beyond frustrating!!!!

This is my THIRD iPhone 6 - 64gb in space gray that has done this, and this phone is less than 24 hours in use.

My first was replaced by Asurion.

This one was given to me from ATT. They said it wasn't refurbished but who knows.

I have done resets, restores, set up like new, only use OEM chargers, don't have an otter box anymore, etc etc.

I'm at a loss. It's frustrating to be trying to read something and my phone starts jumping around to different pages. Or typing things that I'm not typing. Making calls when the phone is not even being touched.

Let me repeat, I've been using this current phone for less than 24 hours and I'm STILL having the same issues.

I run businesses from my phone. It's pretty crappy to accidentally call someone 30 times. I need my phone in better working order.

I have been experiencing the same thing on my launch day iPhone 6 128GB on the same side of the screen. It happens every now and then.

Sometimes I keep my leave my finger on the left side of the screen to see if maybe it will recognize the touch input and found that I

can watch the screen start to jitter slightly up and down as it fights to stabilize itself.Disappointed because it is brand new and now have to accept a refurb.

Something is definitely wrong and plan on doing an exchange after Thanksgiving. Are you still experiencing the ghost touching or found a way to resolve it?

I have an iPhone 6, 64GB also experiencing the same problem. I have been to apple multiple times and talked to Apple Care. They swapped the phone the first time thinking it was a glitch in the phone. After receiving the second one and it doing the same thing, they concluded that the problem was with my backup from my iPhone 4s. They had me restore the phone and "set up as new". Problem still occurred. I just went to Apple again today and got the 3rd one and started from scratch. Can you guess? YES, the problem is happening. So, i'm not sure if this is something Apple just has to work on or what because I didn't bring anything over from my previous phone. However, I am very frustrated as my phone has called people or even answered calls on its own.

I experienced Ghost Touches for the first time today on my iphone 6 and since it never ever happened before, and I'd never heard of this phenomenon before, I immediately assumed a hack was taking place before my very eyes.

I powered off and for some not thought-out reason, I also unplugged my iphone's charging cord. When I started the iphone up again and tryed text messaging again I had a perfectly normal keyboard - except my iphone's battery was near depletion (11%). Thinking my keyboard fix was solved by turning off and turning on my iphone, I again plugged my iphone into the same charging device and WHAM; ghost touching started happening over and over again.

This time, I unplugged my charging cord first and moved to the another charging cord and plugged in. With a new charging hub I had perfect text and no ghost keyboard stroking. I'm confident the black device labeled "Designed in China, Model No. A1265" was the culprit causing my ghost touches. I made no screen adjustments except what I've described - I hope this helps.

I had the same problem with my brand new iPhone 6. I unplugged the charger that came with my phone and the problem stopped - ghost went away. Plugged it back in and the ghost is back - deleting emails, opening apps, calling people oh my.

This s not just OEM chargers but with the charger supplied with my iPhone 6.

Same here too, and actually since my FIRST iPhone 6 fell into the ocean, this is my 2nd. And BOTH did it. Not plugged into anything. Waiting to see if the restart I just did will settle the spectre down again, because frustratingly during conference calls, it was opening my contact list randomly, putting me on mute, etc etc. Hopefully Apple is working on a fix still within iOS 9, and this isn't an embedded hardware problem.

So I've been having a major issue with my iPhone 6. Less than a year of having it, it started doing ghost touching but only in a certain spot. It wasn't anything that bad to me so I never bothered to return it (which was so dumb of me). I got the phone in October 2014 and here I am in February 2016 and now the screen is completely irresponsive and I can't use it at all. I usually just get frustrated, turn it off, and go to bed. This has never happened to me before with any other of my iphones. I've never dropped it on was or anything, it may have had a couple of hard drops, and has a super tiny crack in the bottom right corner that I'm not really sure how it got there in the first place (my phone started acting funny way after that crack appeared).

I've had this happen a few times. It has only happened in low light conditions with a single intense spot of light hitting it. Whether the sun reflecting or a spot of light hitting it directly. Any one else with a similar experience?

I'm having the same problem. I've had my phone for over a year and it has always locked up very often. About a month ago apps started to open and close at will. Went to my local MacHq store, dont have an Apple Store very close, and they detached and reattached the screen and that fixed the problem for about a month. Then my phone started locking up and now it's back to apps opening on their own again. I deleted the face book app and that helped for about 5 minutes. Then back to the same problems as usual.

Has anyone found a fix for this yet?

I own a iPhone6 128Gb, have had it for about 18 months, about 10 days ago it started acting very bizarrely, ghosting, etc. as described above. I have reset all settings and have also carried out a restore with the latest iOS 9.3.2 - but all to no avail...

It has happened in the past, but seemed to fix itself. Now its more regular and incredibly annoying, especially when it rings somebody, that you don't want to ring/talk to....

I am having the exact same problem. I have the iPhone 6. I think I may have found a fix. I did it a couple days ago and the ghost touches stopped completely. I have no idea why it worked, or if the problem will return, but so far so good. I held the phone in landscape mode with both hands. I then twisted the phone lengthwise very slightly back and forth a couple times. The problem stopped immediately and before this I was having the issue continuously. I will post an update in a few days whether or not the issue returns. Hope this works for you too.

I'm also having the ghost touch issue with my iPhone 6 Plus. I bought the phone in October, 2014. This past September, I suddenly experienced the ghost touching problem. I thought I had been hacked or had some sort of phone virus. It lasted for about a day and a half and then disappeared. It was extremely frustrating but I thought it was gone for good. Then three days ago, it returned. I took it to the Apple Store and they told me to buy a new phone. Apple's quality has diminished so much. Instead of offering to let me purchase a new phone at full retail price, they should at least be replacing these at a steep discounted price. The phone should have lasted more than two years. There are enough complaints that this is not just the luck of the draw. They have sold a large batch of faulty devices. Shame on Apple for not stepping up to the plate to help its loyal customers!

Have the ghost touching problem on my 6 plus, just jumped right on me today, have had it before, but then somhow it went away, this time I was enoyed as **** and ordered a new 7 plus, it will come eventually, but in the meantime.... I did some searching an stumbeled on this, and believe it or not, it worked, problem stopped, we will see if it continues or not, try some bending....
