Is a 128MB PCi faster then a 32MB AGP?

Hello,
In these two tests on Barefeats, look at the frames per second on Quake 3 (the only exact tests between an AGP MX2 32MB card and a PCI 9200 - 128MB card.) You will see the PCI card was about 5 frames per second faster than an older AGP card. One test does not convince me, I wish I could have found other tests, but alas, I can't.

Now look at this report about 9200 PCI cards. Some food for thought.

But let's see if others can weigh in here with other insight.

Beyond the amount of SGRAM or DRR memory on the graphics card, the bus to which it connects is of greater importance. An AGP 2x bus operates at 66 MHz (effectively doubled to 133 MHz), whereas the PCI bus is limited 33 MHz. If choosing between a PCI graphics card and an AGP card for use in a computer with a 2x, 4x, or 8x AGP slot, I'd prefer AGP. For basic computing, a PCI graphics card is more than adequate, but for graphics-intensive programs, video editing, gaming, and web use, the AGP card would be preferable. Comparing one type of card to the other should involve two cards with similar specs (except for the memory difference) and production dates, so that the deck isn't stacked in favor of one having newer technology and a faster processor.
