I just bought iPhone 6 and I found that Mic of my new iPhone 6 is not working when while calling, I put the phone on speaker. It worked with Skype, audio messages etc. but doesn't work during regular phone calls (incoming/outgoing). Would somebody please let me know any solution because Apple don't bother about problem which is shared on this support page.

Here is some general troubleshooting when you are having issues with the microphone on your iPhone. One of the thing to check is to see if looks like headphones are still plugged in. When at the Home screen, change the volume and look for an indication that headphones are plugged in.

I am having the same issue with my iPhone 5s and read in other forums that its a hardware issue and the only option is to have the device replaced...
HI I had the same problem but have figured it out. In my case I had installed a glass screen guard both front and back one to avoid scratches on my new phone. However, I found that screen guard had an opening for only camera and the Mic portion(secondary mic) on the phone was covered. After removing the guard, issue fixed!
