HELP! Dropped iPhone 4S screen color discoloration and darkened at bottom?

Hi guys! I dropped my phone a few days ago. The screen initially went white with veritical grey lines. After waiting about 30 minutes and resetting with the home and power buttons the phone came back to life, but with a few noticeable issues. First, the screen is darker in color. There was some flashing, so following advice in the community, I turned off the auto brightness and that appears to be better. Second, the bottom of the screen is darkened out and the app names are chopped off in the home menu. In reality the screen is completely black/grey across the bottom of the screen hiding the names of the apps. Is this a screen or LCD issue that needs to be replaced or is there a chance that a few cords were simply knocked loose? My phone is out of warranty, so trying to figure out what to do next since the phone is still completely usable with no glass breakage. Thanks in advance for your help!
