A classic catch 22; motorola says check with itunes.

If Motorola said that, then they are pulling your chain.

The music in any iTunes Library (including yours) could have come from any or all of several sources, i.e. your own CDs, MP3s (digital music) from other retailers such as Amazon and digital music from the iTunes Store.

If, like me, you don't buy any music from the iTunes Store, then why should it be iTunes' (Apple's) responsibility to help anyone get that music onto an Android phone? Motorola should be explaining to you how to put music onto a phone that they have designed, manufactured and marketed. It is quite clearly not Apple's responsibility at all.

However, if the Motorola phone cannot play AAC files (as sold buy the iTunes Store), then the answer to that is to use iTunes to convert those songs to a format that the Motorola can play, such as MP3. But most devices now can play AAC files and you haven't mentioned this as your issue, so again, why would it be anything at all to do with Apple or iTunes?
