So far no printer driver works for my HP Photosmart 8750 printer? OS X 10.4 or OS X 10.7 don't cut it. HP are telling me Apple will support it and Apple tell me there is no software support for my printer? Great.

You might try this oneHP Printer Drivers v3.0 for OS X I've had a lot of success with it. Usually the printer manufacture will develop the drivers to my understanding. Here is a list of printers OS X: Printer and scanner software available for download - Apple Support
