After updating to OS X Yosemite spell check in Microsoft word will no longer work. It is working in various other places just not in Microsoft. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had this happen to me too. I just use the hotkey for spell check. fn+F7
Are you using MS Words spell checker or the built in OS X spell checker (Shift + Command + key combination) which down not work?
What version of MS Office do you have?
Hi Old Toad, I have a similar problem. I use Microsoft office 2011, I updated the program and the spell check tool just disappeared. I've searched and have not found a solution. Do you know of any? Thanks -D
