Dec 3, 2014 12:46 PM in response to golfchikby pedro d,Hello there, golfchik.
It seems that you're having issues with finding how to make a Genius Bar appointment at one of our Apple Retail Stores. To provide some helpful information, this is the current link to getting started on your path to make an appointment:
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar
Once you get click the "Get help now" option, you will be prompted through some questions that will help identify the device you're working with, the issue you're seeing, etc, before you are provided with the available Support Options. Once you've gone through those steps you will see Genius Bar Appointment as one of your options.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.
Cheers,
Pedro.

Dec 29, 2014 11:54 AM in response to pedro dby DSturman,Pedro, That's not what is happening to me. All it asks is for chat or phone support and then asks for $29.99 for a one time service fee?

Jan 7, 2015 1:02 PM in response to pedro dby gwaves,I"m also having problems setting up a genius bar appointment. After I do this as stated above: Once you get click the "Get help now" option, you will be prompted through some questions that will help identify the device you're working with, the issue you're seeing, etc, before you are provided with the available Support Options. Once you've gone through those steps you will see Genius Bar Appointment as one of your options. The genius bar appointment is NOT an option. Iv'e tried several times!

Jan 15, 2015 10:32 AM in response to pedro dby AlyssaCaldwell,I have the same complaints. I really just want to talk to someone at the genius bar and it's not giving me that option. I don't understand why I need to pay 29.99 just to talk to someone if the problem I have isn't something that can be fixed over the phone.

Jan 31, 2015 10:23 AM in response to AlyssaCaldwellby kwatterw,Same problem here. Website was going in circles without any options to make an actual reservation. I had to call the store's number and go through their automated system to eventually connect with a generic apple customer service rep. So then I had to tell them what store I wanted. In the end, got what I wanted - but definitely not an easy process. What happened to just being able to make a reservation online???
