How can I stop my text messages from coming to my computer?

The text messages sent to my iPhone keep showing up on my iMac.
How can I stop this?

I'm using OS X 10.10.1

And my iPhone is 5S, OS 8.1.1

I am a new iMac user this is very frustrating.

Thank you.

To prevent your Mac from receiving SMS messages, go to Settings on your iPhone, then Messages > Text Message Forwarding, and turn off your Mac. If you want all messages (iMessage and SMS) to stop, on your Mac, open Messages, then go to Messages > Preferences > Accounts, select your iMessage account, and click the "-" sign.
