You can read through this thread. Any xfinity app on your iPhone? I don't have xfinity so I don't have the issue and can't test anything. Is there any sort of discussion on their site about this?

It is true now and has been true for the last 7 years at least, that you failed to notice it is on you, not Comcast who have the right to broadcast hotspots if they choose.

I've been in an area with Xfinity hotspots and my iDevices have never joined an Xfinity network. So why are some people here automatically connecting to their network and mine don't do that?

It will apply to every device that connects to 802.11 networks, regardless of manufacturer.

Comcast (and you) have a right to broadcast a network, you may not stop them just as they may not stop you.

I am having this issue and have tried every fix suggested and they don't work. I'm using macOS Sierra 10.12.6. Current suggestions??

I have this issue but only on my imac. November 2017. When I try to delete Xfinity from my list of networks, there is no delete button available.
