A problem occurred with this web page so it was reloaded

My iPad 2 has become unusable due to constant reloading of web pages with the following message "

A problem occurred with this web page so it was reloaded

I tired resetting net work and rebooting the iPad, neither helped. It seems to be a common problem. Does Apple have a fix or are they working on a fix or do they no longer plan to support iPad 2s? It would be nice to hear from Apple.

Thanks.

CHris P says

WIth luck in the address line the legend 'Reader view available,'

will appear during load. bY iits lefthand side will be an icon of 4 short lines.

TAp on that icon and a simplified view of the page will load containing all the text.

I don't know why it works or whether it always works. Might be that it does not try to load the code with the error in it.

SOLVED! THe error is in the web page not the browser. A legend usually appears in the search line saying 'Reader view available' with an icon to its left. The icon has consists of 4 or 5 horizontal lines.

CLick on the icon and the page will reload without all the adverts etc.

Presumably the error lies in the coding of any of the adverts in that particular web page. I met it on both Telegraph and Guardian web pages.

ITS BEEN SAID TWICE AND ILL SAY IT AGAIN. FOR THE ERROR MESSAGE "A PROBLEM OCCURED WITH THIS WESITE SO IT WAS RELOADED" Has BUT ONLY ONE KNOWN CURE. OPEN SETTINGS. GOTO SAFARI. ON THE RIGHT SIDE GO ALL THE WAY TO BOTTOM AND CLICK ON CLEAR HISTORY AND DATA. THEN IT ASKS YOU IFMYOUNARE SURE. SELECT YES.

CONTINUE ON , UNTIL THAT ERROR MESSAGE OCCURS AGAIN. THEN DO THE SAME THING.

THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH THE WEBSITE. AND MANY PEOPLE HAVE REPLACED THEIR IPAD TWO FOR NEWER MODELS.

iPad2, iOS 9.0.2

Ever since the latest iOS update (9.0.2) it has been happening five or six times a day, sometimes more. It doesn't matter how many tabs I have, it happens when my cache & history are cleared, it happens on random pages. It seems to have something to do with the persistent pop up ads and advert-Java heavy websites, such as Huffingtom Post or major magazine websites. I have pop ups blocked in my preferences, but that doesn't seem to matter any more, advertisers have found how to make the pop ups happen whether you want them blocked or not. And that's when the page crashes and reloads.

Apple needs to be more aggressive in pop up blocking on native iPad Safari browser, and Java settings need to be more customizable.

Unfortunately the fix with the update has not held and I am getting page reloads again. Not as bad but still there .. At this point I'm thinking there are only two real fixes ... Either Apple is aware of the problem and is working on it ... Or perhaps the only way to resolve it is to do a complete wipe and reinstall of the iPad.
