XMP viewer

Is there a good viewer for XMP files? I tried opening with the "Property List Editor".app, but no joy. I also tried renaming it .xml, but that did also not work. Is there a good viewer that works with XMP besides looking at it as a flat text file?

I don't think you understand what I am asking.

XMP makes use of the W3C XML-based Resource Description Framework (RDF) standard in order to represent the metadata properties associated with a document.

I know that is intendied to be used transparently by programs such as Aperature or Photoshop, but I wish to browse the XMP sidecar file directly. It would be easier if XML editors would open them, but I have not found one that does. Browsing it with a text editor is tedious.

Here I think you are better off with some kind of editor designed for programming - XCode would actually be prtety good and ships with your Mac, but the overall development tool install would be rather large.

You can look for programming editors, a number of other popular options would be BBEdit or JEdit or uEdit.

Versiontracker is a better place to search for these kinds of things.
