How to add files to apps in iTunes 12?

Hi there,

in the past I was able to add files to apps on the iPad (who offered that option) via the Apps tab on the device and then selecting "add files".

The apps menu has disappeared from iTunes 12, so is there still a way for me to load documents into the app via iTunes? Or did Apple just break the ability to move files and out of apps on iOS?

I'm in the same situation that Michael's in. I even read through the linked document. However, there is no Apps label in the left-hand sidebar!

Nor is there an "Add" button in the File Sharing section.

I'm using iTunes 12.7.2, the latest version.

Do you have any other suggestions on how to do this? It seems strange that such basic functionality has been stripped out or hidden!

The process is opaque, and lacks the elegance of the old way. Why separate out apps from iTunes? That's where we sync; that's where apps are backed up -- although I guess they've changed that, too!

However, I can confirm that it does work! I was able to transfer an older version of an app to my iPhone.
