Need to know if a Zebra GK420D is compatible with a MacBook Air with Yosemite OS

Hi there, Need to know if a Zebra GK420D (USB) is compatible with a MacBook Air with Yosemite OS running.

Here is the link to the Zebra product:

It uses CUPS as the driver, but unsure if this will work on a MacBook Air with Yosemite OS, can someone please assist thanks?

to add to this, i spoke with zebra and their response was limited and they advised:

"CUPS driver is the built in default driver in MAC and Linux based systems. It is not a Zebra product.

That being said, we would not know if CUPS is in Yosemite OS. I would believe that it is in the Yosemite OS since CUPS is the default printer driver.

You could show them the attached article which has more information on installation."

I then spoke to a apple support person, who I dont believe was 100%, for I asked them to email me in writing and the email never came.

CUPS is a Common Unix Printing System, but it is not a driver designed for a particular printer. There are generic drivers in the printer packages provided by Apple. OS X uses CUPS drivers if they are provided by the printer manufacturers. If the manufacturer doesn't make a driver for OS X, then the printer may not work.
