I have recently bought an I pad air. I have about 50 old messages on my I phone that don't synch onto my I pad. Is there a setting I need to change so I can see same messages on I phone and I pad?

New messages will appear in both places. My experience has demonstrated to me that the synch does not go back in time.

Hi Go to settings Email Accounts Delete Account, then re add Accounts Do this with all Email, accounts, on ipad. You may get some of, your Emails, back on ipad but not all of them. Cheers Brian

Hi your ipad needs to have A simcard to receive, text, messagers apart from imessage Text messages, work with your iphne number. Cheers Brian
Briansyddall - I'm not sure that is accurate. My MacBook Pro Retina and MacBook Air certainly do not have SIM cards, but they display messages just fine. That is true for non-iMessage text messages as well.
