You cannot update an iPhone 4 beyond iOS 7.1.2
You cannot update to iOS 8
You cannot update to iOS 9
You cannot update to iOS 10
You cannot update to iOS 11
You cannot update to any iOS version after 7.1.2
Hopefully, that should clear up some things
It's not physically possible. The iPhone 4 is obsolete. It can NOT be updated past iOS 7.1.2.
Your only alternative if you wish to run those app is to replace your obsolete IPhone 4 with a new that can run it, there is no other way.

An iPhone 4 can not be updated beyond 7.1.2, so 8 is impossible.
