What part of NO don’t you understand? The iPhone 4 is old and obsolete. Therefore, it CANNOT update beyond iOS 7.1.2. If you want to receive the new iOS updates, you have to buy a newer iPhone.

It is not possible to update an iPhone 4 beyond iOS 7.1.2.
If you need to run iOS 8 then you will have to replace your obsolete iPhone 4 with a new one which is capable of running it.
