You cannot update an iPhone 4 beyond iOS 7.1.2
You cannot update to iOS 8
You cannot update to iOS 9
You cannot update to iOS 10
You cannot update to iOS 11
You cannot update to any iOS version after 7.1.2
Hopefully, that should clear up some things

I think I had something get deleted from one of the threads in the last day or two. I think it was collateral damage. So, maybe they still pay a little attention.
