Does your cursor disappear?

Yes after a couple years of this being on the forum its still happening and Apple has STILL not fixed it. Happens to me on MBP Retina with every use. It is not just annoying but makes it impossible to use this computer at times. APPLE what the **** are you doing about this?

My cursor in email body also keeps disappearing. Sometimes I click on subject then back in body to bring it back. But does not work all the time.

This is very frustrating. It’s a basic performance requirement. Cu sir must not get missing for whatever reason. Please fix this bug. It’s been there from previous iOS versions.

I too have a disappearing cursor which happens in iTunes full screen mode while watching video. Yosemite latests versions. it is most annoying

Yup. Happens on both a 15" MBP Retina and my Mac Pro tower. So irritating that Apple won't fix.

I had this problem return, but it went away again when I went to System Preferences > Accessibility > Zoom and unchecked both "Use keyboard shortcuts to zoom" and "Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom". Comes right back if I check either one.

If I don't have a Cursor it's impossible to get to System Preferences or anywhere else to do anything. I need a Cursor. I cannot control anything on my MBPro.

I have the same issue just after starting moving between 2 LG1952TX displays. It seems to happen if I have selected the restore window option. When I move from MON-1 to MON-2 the cursor disappears when I pass the edge, but all I've had to do was click the trackpad and the cursor reappears and remains visible.

I'll try Control-Tab solution if this recurs. In the meantime I've set the Accessibilty option suggested by IluvMyiphone to see what happens.

If it happens when you have VoiceOver on, do a Command F5. It turns VoiceOver Off and the Cursor comes back. It's a Toggle.

Thanks, i disabled the zoom and i now have my mouse back when in itunes full screen mode. Apple needs to add that to a bug list somewhere.

Sorry, Apple, but none of the above fixes seem to work on my Mini using 10.10 3. The problem first appeared in 10.10.2. I get my cursor back for about 30 seconds after moving to another application. Only a single screen in use, though there is a TV set connected via HDMI, though it is switched off at the wall most of the time. Apple seems unwilling to confront this little glitch. It certainly makes using the machine tedious having to switch apps every 30 seconds while using the cursor to navigate any app.

I'm lucky I ve some alternatives such as this iPad.

Yes I have this problem but I have stumbled on a solution that gets the cursor back fast. Set up a hot corner to put the display to sleep. When the cursor disappears just wipe to the corner, the screen goes black. Move the mouse and when the screen comes back on, it includes the mouse cursor.

Sometimes, the issue can be reproduced by quickly switching between apps using CMD+Tab so that the popup with apps' thumbnails won't even appear. Both Yosemite and El Capitan.

By far the easiest way to get the cursor back, in my experience, is to simply swipe the trackpad as if you were moving to the top of the screen and then click (i.e. clicking off the top of the screen anywhere).

In brings the cursor back immediately.
