Battery drain faster after udating to iOS 8.1.2 ( iPhone 5s A1530 16GB )

It didn't help, the problem still exists battery still draining at the same ridiculous speed.

How right you are! Been on the message chat with apple in the UK today.

With every procedure they came up with to resolve it, I had to explain I had already been there and done that. (see my earlier posts) Then finally they found one thing I had not done, which was to do a recovery restore by holding down the home button while the phone was switched off and then plug in to itunes and set up as new phone. Guess what, just the same! - After a full recharge I left it in full airplane mode as a brand new phone with no apps or apple ID installed. - 2 hours 40 minutes later, the phone had eaten 26% of its battery! My guess is a Jumbo Jet uses less energy during take off!! - 5s and ios 8.1.3 are not exactly up there with the green credentials are they??

At least they gave me a reference number to continue with part deux tomorrow LOL!

they know about that? if they know..then what is the problem?

i have talked to apple support in November when battery draining started.

they told me to do same things that i have already tried ...but no solution !!!

Hey everyone, I have finally found the solution to the battery drain issue with the iphone 5s and ios 8.1.2 / 3.

It is so simple to resolve it’s unbelievable!

Remember the saying in a film…. We are going to need a bigger boat!

SAme problem!! i loose around 1-2% battery in every 4-5mins on standby!!!

did a restore. setup as new iphone. never backed up a single app. and still there.

COntacted apple care but they dont care at all. they say my phone is perfectly fine!!!

Me too, I don't understand what's ******* happen? My iphone 5s also become hot when charging and the battery drains so fast even in the airplane mode

I don't know what the **** Apple is doing with their OS systems........Once Nokia started building their OS without fixing bugs....and now we all know Nokia is no more....Apple can't dissapear like Nokia because of their Rich iTunes Store serving worldwide...,but this can effect their Product Sales

We are paying a premium price for these iPhones and what the they are giving 1570 mah on 5S and 1800 in 6

that's a shame...after iOS 8.1.2...I'm using my phone like a desktop with cable plugged in all the time...with normal usage battery isn't lasting more than 3 hours... This could also Apple's trick to sell new 6 and 6 plus

Just waiting for upcoming update....if it fixes than i'll stick with Apple

Android phones comes with lots of options...some even comes with 5000mah of battery at a cheap price

they can't be compared with an iPhone But how Apple is treating customers is very awefull

Any one found the solution for this damm annoying problem? Have the iphone 5s, for 13 months now I guess, an just when i'm out of garanty this s**t happens. Battery is draining like crazy. At first its stays at 100% for 20/30 minutes. But then the fun begins. Without doing much, just pushing the home button or open whatsapp two times this thing is going down.

Had the iphone until 13:47 completely recharged to 100%. 17:26 Now use is 50 minutes (dont think thats right at all) standby 3h 40m and at 71% ..

I'm going crazy, have this phone for a year and still a year to go.

Ohh and changed the battery yesterday, so that is not the problem. Tired all the tips given here and all over te web. Doesn't help, and besides that.. Do I pay so much money for something I can not use properly?

Same issue here. my charge used to last 24 hours and now it lasts 4 hours...!

Almost all smartphone companies use this technique to force their customers to buy their new model. Never update a software. If the phones last longer the companies can not sell the new models. I also updated my software and my battery draining so fast now. I am waiting for a reply from apple. If they can not answer this puzzle they created, I am not buying an iPhone again. Still I like to say that my iPhone lasted more than my 3 previous Nokia phones.
