TR/Hijacker.Gen2 virus

TR/Hijacker.Gen2 virus

Hello, I did a virus scan with MacKeeper (free version) and the TR/Hijacker.Gen2 virus was found during the scan. It was found via Steam & PlayonMac. HTML/ExpKit.Gen3 was also found via Google. How would I need to go about removing these threats? Can I trust MacKeeper and is it generally safe to have Steam and PlayonMac installed?

The first step I would do is remove MacKeeper. It is crapware and can only do harm to your Mac.

You can trust anything MacKeeper says. It lies like a carpet.

Hijacker is a Windows virus and can harm your Mac at all. A much safer AV software is ClamXav.
