Locator for authorized repair/seller not working why

Tried the Apple find locations a while back and it worked fine - mentioning an authorized center in my area.

Lately - like every time I try the link - most of the items come up red in activity - ssl failure

Tried in in Opera - and it timed out with the message the servers could not be found.

Did a search on ASK.Com and it came up with a few apple hits saying that apple was not accepting any third party services.

So - did they drop authorized 3rd party in favor of their stores?

Looking at their store location list - also - have they closed some stores already?

Not sure where you are located but if you were here in the UK, you would Google 'Apple re-sellers or retail stores in Kent (or whatever county you live in)'. In Europe, name the city ... and so on.

your comment regarding Google spurred Çuriosity Çilled the Çat... seems this may be an unsung Apple design/coding success story.

I'll bet some small team of exceptional UX designers and coders took Google Maps API to a new level of excellence.

I agree - very fast and better presentation than Google itself.

I am actually looking for the authorized repair and seller list - for the US -- going around about -- depending on where I click - in the end that list showed up without any detail that was there before.

http://www.apple.com/sitemap/ Trying to get to the authorized/seller list that is not apple stores - depending on where I go in it either errors out, or in the end comes back to the locate apple .com with header and footer and not detail. Meanwhile this page is not working well as I am keying into an itty bitty window.

no problems... all but one result are NON-AppleStore vendors for " Mac " in the pull down menu

I guess you're gonna have to give us a ZIP Code near you - or your actual WorkFlow to make testing accurate. Also System/Browser Specs

for me, this is an extra couple of steps and quite a few more clicks and keystrokes - leads to the same place as https://locate.apple.com/

the ZIP Code entered in your method is in the resulting URL (see screenshot) but does nuthin'

I am just gonna assume the same results I got earlier since the place is the same...

Actually searched for it in ASK.Com - and from that site was able to bring up the link for postal code - but had to circle around - and do wonder why apple has a link on the page that points to that page.

Unfortunately the page that came up has changed - so it includes Apple stores - none of which are actually convenient - I think apple used the crow files method not the how close its it by actual roads.

As smaller businesses tend to treat customers well, was just looking for one that possibly helping mac users download the upgrades onto USB or removable drive for a fee - as some of them may have business class lines that are not subject to so many problem.
